After an incredible ten-game run, PJ Washington came crashing back to Earth last night vs. Arkansas. The Razorbacks centered their game plan around slowing down Kentucky’s sophomore star, and it worked. PJ had only nine points off 2-7 shooting, well below his recent average of 21 points and 55.7 percent from the floor.
“We did a really good job of identifying the matchup in man,” Mike Anderson said afterwards. “We came in with the mindset making PJ work for everything.”
With Reid Travis still out with a sprained knee, Kentucky was lucky to survive an off night from PJ, especially since he only hit five of his ten free throws.
