Rhyne Howard, former All-American from the Kentucky women’s basketball team and the program’s all-time leading scorer, took home a bronze medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Howard was a member of the USA Basketball 3×3 Women’s National Team, which nearly finished the Olympics on a seven-game win streak before its overtime loss to Spain in the semifinals.

In an overtime match against Canada in the group play section of the Olympics, Howard hit a step-back 3-pointer — which is worth two points in 3×3 basketball — to move the USA into the top four rankings.
