Preseason practices are underway in the Joe Craft Center, but one of the newcomers on Kentucky’s roster is still out with an injury.
Dontaie Allen, the Bluegrass state’s reigning Mr. Basketball, has not fully recovered from the ACL injury he suffered midway through his senior season at Pendleton County. Rehab is going well for Allen, but he has not participated in an actual practice since arriving on campus.
“He has been doing things in the gym,” John Calipari said of Allen’s recovery. “My guess is he is still a month away.”
Allen wasn’t ready to put a timeline on his projected return.
