LEXINGTON – Kentucky softball is Super Regional bound for the third consecutive year. Its 11-1 run-rule dismantling of Virginia Tech advances the Cats to face the winner of the Seattle regional, hosted by Washington. If Washington wins, UK will advance to face the Huskies in Seattle. If Mississippi State steals two games, Kentucky will host the Bulldogs for another weekend.
The Hokies started the game at a disadvantage to the Cats. ACC Pitcher of the Year Carrie Eberle was less than 24 hours removed from the 8-1 loss to Kentucky, in which she threw 128 pitches.
