No. 16 Kentucky Softball was run-ruled 18-0 by No. 1 Oklahoma on Friday night in Norman, Oklahoma.
The ‘Cats started out slow at the plate in the first inning and couldn’t find any runs. Junior pitcher Stephanie Schoonover took the mound for UK in the bottom of the first.
Schoonover struggled with strikeouts, and errors in defense led to three runs for Oklahoma giving the Sooners a 3-0 lead early in the game. It was the same old story for the ‘Cats in the second.
Kentucky had no luck on the offensive side and it was even worse on the defensive end.
