Kentucky Silences Scotty Pippen Jr. to take 42-30 First Half Lead

The Wildcats started fast in Nashville, threw it in neutral, then finished strong to take a 42-30 lead at Memorial Gymnasium after 20 minutes.

Kentucky led by as much as 17 in the first half until another trademark scoring drought let the Commodores creep back into the game. Vanderbilt’s zone defense gave UK fits. Kentucky went on almost a five-minute scoring drought beginning at the ten-minute mark, then only hit a pair of shots over the next four minutes to let Vandy within single digits.

Dylan Disu and Isaiah Jackson were the best players on the court.
