Kentucky is set to host one of the top prospects in high school basketball on a virtual visit this week.
2022 top-ten prospect Brandon Huntley-Hatfield will take a virtual visit with the Kentucky coaching staff on Thursday, the five-star forward’s mother, Antoinette Huntley, tells KSR.
Originally a member of the 2021 class, the five-star forward moved back a year to the 2022 class over a year ago, sparking legitimate reclassification rumors in recent months. Academically, Huntley-Hatfield remains a junior, which explains why he was allowed to take official visits to both Ole Miss and Memphis. Though the 6-foot-9 forward and his camp say he’s sticking with 2022 for now, the expectation is that Huntley-Hatfield will ultimately reclassify back to his original 2021 class when it comes time for a decision.
