Kentucky fell behind in the second half and couldn’t recover as No. 4 Alabama cruised to a 96-83 victory over the Wildcats.
Playing without injured guards Jaxson Robinson and Lamont Butler, the Cats (18-9, 7-7 SEC) seemed to run out of steam down the stretch.
Alabama (22-5, 11-3) took advantage of Kentucky’s tiring defense with a number of big shots to seal the win.
Mark Sears had a game-high 30 points for the Crimson Tide.
Koby Brea led Kentucky with 20 points. Andrew Carr and Amari Williams finished with 17 points each. Travis Perry chipped in 12.
