While the Kentucky Wildcats do not yet have a commitment for their 2021 recruiting class, they’re already getting some early work done on their 2022 options.
Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers reported last week that Kentucky has reached out to five-star 2022 shooting guard Dariq Whitehead. He is the younger brother of Oakland Raiders linebacker Tahir Whitehead.
The 6-5, 190-pound Whitehead is ranked as the fourth-best shooting guard for 2022 by 247 Sports and 14th overall in their composite rankings. He is originally from Newark, New Jersey, but last December, transferred to Montverde Academy in Florida.
