Kentucky moved up one spot in the new Associated Press College Basketball Poll this week. The Cats climbed from fifth to fourth in the new rankings, thanks to North Carolina’s loss at unranked Texas over the weekend. UNC dropped from third to eleventh following its second defeat of the season.
Meanwhile, Michigan State held down its No. 1 overall ranking, ahead of Kansas and Oklahoma, the former No. 7 team, to round out the new top three.
Over at the USA Today Coaches Poll, Kentucky remained at No. 4 for a second week in a row.
