There is now a real reason for Kentucky fans to worry about the team’s frontcourt for the 2019-20 season.
Jaden McDaniels ended his long recruitment process by choosing the Washington Huskies over Cal and the Cats, while EJ Montgomery very well may keep his name in the NBA Draft. It also appears Virginia Tech Hokies grad transfer Kerry Blackshear will remain in the draft after it appeared Kentucky was in a good spot for him if he returned to school.
This leaves graduate transfer Nate Sestina and a third-year Nick Richards as the only two big men on the 2019-20 roster.
