Kentucky players prove to have more bark than bite against Evansville

On Monday afternoon, sophomore guard Immanuel Quickley said he wasn’t going to get too high on Kentucky’s impressive back-to-back victories to open the season, nor was he going to worry too much about the team’s status as the No. 1 team in college basketball.

“We haven’t been No. 1 that long, it’s only been like 20 minutes [laughs],” Quickley said. “Still kind of getting adjusted. I think we’ll have the right mindset, Coach Cal does a great job at keeping us humble. We know we’re No. 1, but also know we’re not where we need to be. By the end of the year, we want to be that No.
