For much of 2020, the Kentucky Wildcats had hoped to land 2021 point guard Kennedy Chandler. However, his commitment to Tennessee put John Calipari and his staff on the hunt for a new point guard target in that class.
It is no surprise that they immediately pursued Hunter Sallis, the No. 19 overall player and No. 2 combo guard according to the 247 Sports Composite. As of today, he has an official scholarship offer from the University of Kentucky, he announced on Twitter.
Among the other schools who’ve offered Sallis include the North Carolina Tar Heels, Kansas Jayhawks, Louisville Cardinals, Oregon Ducks, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Auburn Tigers, Michigan Wolverines and Texas A&M Aggies among others.
