Head coach John Calipari and his assistants watched Nowell, 6-foot-2, play multiple times over the weekend on the Nike EYBL circuit in Atlanta, GA for Team Final before ultimately extending him an offer.
In four games for Team Final (3-1) this weekend in front of a slew of college coaches — Kentucky chief among them — Nowell averaged 15.
