In recent years, there have been numerous occasions of college football programs offering a prospect well before the time he reaches high school.
But in most cases, that prospect isn’t going to be anywhere nearly as big as Kiyaunta Goodwin.
On Friday, Kentucky offered Goodwin, an offensive lineman who at 13 years old already is 6-foot-6 and 345 pounds. He will enter the eighth grade this fall at Olmsted Academy North, an all-boys middle school in Louisville, Kentucky.
Goodwin received his offer while attending Kentucky’s Friday Nights Camp on campus.
