In an effort to show folks that Yale actually is a pretty good basketball team, I wanted to point out that last night’s 69-59 win over the Bulldogs moved Kentucky up 11 spots in the NET rankings.
The Wildcats (7-2) jumped from No. 38 to No. 27 in the rankings, which play a key role in NCAA Tournament seeding down the road.
Kentucky is now 2-1 in Quad 2 games and 0-1 vs. Quad 1 opponents.
Next Saturday will give the Cats a big Quad 1 opportunity against No. 14 UCLA on a neutral court.
The current top 5 in order are UConn, Houston, Purdue, Tennessee and Alabama.
