Kentucky men’s soccer (6-6-4) defeated Georgia Southern (2-9-6) 1-0 on Tuesday night.
The Wildcats traveled down to Georgia riding a massive two-game win streak after shutting out No. 1 ranked Marshall and No. 2 ranked West Virginia.
Kentucky was able to get off six shots in the first half, but only two of them were on frame and they were both denied by Georgia Southern goalkeeper Nate Martinez.
Georgia Southern ripped two of its own shots but Kentucky goalkeeper Casper Mols stood strong and denied both as both teams went into halftime with zero.
Early on in the second half Kentucky forward Logan Dorsey netted the only goal of the game with just over 38 minutes left to play and it proved to be the difference maker as Georgia Southern
failed to score with the remaining time.
