UK men’s golf started its season in the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Michigan, finishing day one in ninth place out of 15 total schools.
Wildcat junior Jack Schoenberger started his day going one-under-par on 34 strokes through nine holes. He then capped off his individual performance by tying for 18th and totaling 73 strokes through 18 holes on day one.
Another notable performance on the green was Gavin Clutts, who introduced himself to the collegiate scene. The Wildcat freshman ended the day five-over-par with a 71 and placed tied for 44th on day one of his debut.
