LEXINGTON, Ky. — Let's not kid ourselves: Howard never was supposed to put up much of a challenge against Kentucky at Rupp Arena on Monday. The Bison were in town to collect their paycheck, say they once played against the Wildcats' plethora of future pros, and be on their merry way after a lopsided loss.
The game went according to script, as the Wildcats cruised to a 95-63 victory.
What a screenwriter might not have dreamed up about this contest a month ago: that UK would win by 32 points despite being down three key members of its rotation: starters Oscar Tshiebwe and Sahvir Wheeler as well as key reserve Daimion Collins.
