One of the top junior college point guards in the nation is considering Kentucky. Sean East, the 2022 NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, included the Wildcats among his list of finalists.
East will decide between Kentucky, BYU, Clemson, Missouri, Oregon and South Florida.
East, a 6-foot-3 point guard out of John A. Logan College, averaged 20.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists this season while shooting 53% from the field, 41% from three and 89% from the free-throw line. The lefty standout scored 20-plus points in 13 games and hit the 30-point mark six times, including a 43-point outing at the 2022 NJCAA DI Men’s Basketball Championship tournament.
