Of all of the crazy stats from this season, Kentucky losing a game in which it made 14 threes has got to be near the top. To put that number in perspective, the Cats were averaging 5.1 made threes per game coming into tonight. The most threes they’ve made prior to this game was eleven vs. Mississippi State, seven of which came from Dontaie Allen.
According to UK stat guru Corey Price, Kentucky’s 14 threes tonight are tied for the third most in a single game in the John Calipari Era and the most since the 2012 National Champion squad hit 15 in a win at Georgia.
