After what may have been the ugliest half of basketball ever, Kentucky leads Auburn 25-21. Honestly, after watching the bricks pile up, it’s surprising either team crossed the 20-point mark.
Neither team had more than two points until Dontaie Allen hit a three at the 13:02 mark. Allen and Jacob Toppin lead the Cats with eight points each, shooting a combined 5-8 from the floor while the rest of the team is 3-16. Thank goodness for Allen and Toppin.
Thankfully, Auburn’s been even worse. The Tigers are 8-33 from the floor (24%). Star guard Sharife Cooper is 0-8, 3-6 from the free-throw line for three points.
