Another Kentucky Wildcat has entered the transfer portal.
Rivals’ Justin Rowland reports Kentucky kicker Grant McKinniss is leaving the program. Over the last two seasons McKinniss only used his leg on kickoffs. In 2019 he added field goal and extra point holder to his resume.
A four-star recruit according to Scout, the Findlay, OH native originally was brought to Lexington to replace Landon Foster as the Wildcats’ punter. McKinniss averaged 39.2 yards per punt as a freshman, his only season filling that role full-time. Upon Dean Hood’s arrival, UK shifted to the Australian style, bringing in Matt Panton and 2019’s Ray Guy Award winner, Max Duffy.
