According to IUPU-Columbus professor Ryan Brewer’s annual study based on revenues, expenses, risk, growth and other factors, Kentucky Basketball is worth $334.2 million, up 35.5% over a year ago.
Overall, valuations across the sport are up 9.3% from last year, a big rebound after last year’s 7.4% decline, which Brewer attributed to risks associated with the FBI’s investigation. What changed? You probably don’t want to hear it, but Brewer believes Zion Williamson played a part. Duke finished fourth on the list, up 18.7% from last year. Indiana is fifth, but its valuation fell by 19.3% after another rocky year.
