There were very few postseason upsets, making for a loaded Sweet 16 field. Every region champion except two (Jeffersontown and Henry Clay) were picked preseason No. 1 or No. 2 in their region. Three region champions (Henry Clay, North Oldham, and Jeffersontown) had to knock off multiple Top 25 teams in postseason elimination games. Male and Warren Central each had to get past a Top 10 team to make it to Rupp. Class A schools will be well represented with Murray, Lyon County, and Pikeville, who won the All “A” Classic in January.
