LEXINGTON - Kentucky football has found its replacement for Ray Guy Award winner Max Duffy. And like Duffy, the Wildcats' next punter is coming from Australia.
Former Australian rules football player Wilson Berry announced his commitment to UK as part of its 2021 recruiting class Monday. Berry, like Duffy, comes to college football through ProKick Australia, a company that trains Australians for American football.
Berry will be the Wildcats' third consecutive Australian punter, continuing the pipeline established by former UK special teams coordinator Dean Hood, who was hired by Murray State as head coach in December.
Australian punter Matt Panton preceded Duffy in the job after transferring to Kentucky from Columbia for the 2017 season.
