Just a couple of hours before the midnight deadline, Zan Payne entered his name into the transfer portal.
The Kentucky Wildcats’ walk-on guard and son of new Louisville head coach, Kenny Payne, has decided to look elsewhere for his final year of college eligibility. Zan Payne came to UK ahead of the 2018-19 season out of Lexington Catholic and has been with the team ever since. He sat out in 2019-20 due to a knee injury he suffered during his final year of high school.
Over the course of nine games this past season, the 6-foot-4 redshirt junior registered eight points, two rebounds, and one steal.
