Kentucky guard B.J. Boston headed to Los Angeles Clippers in second round of NBA draft

Kentucky guard B.J. Boston will start his NBA career in Los Angeles.

The New Orleans Pelicans selected Boston in the second round (No. 51 overall) of the 2021 NBA draft then traded him to the Los Angeles Clippers, according to multiple reports.

The No. 5-ranked prospect in the high school class of 2020, Boston struggled to live up to the hype of being Kentucky's first consensus top-five signee in five years.

Boston ranked second on the team in scoring (11.5 points per game) but shot just 35.5% from the field and 30% (30 for 100) from 3-point range in his one season at UK.
