Kentucky started a bit slow but got going in the third quarter to put away Akron Saturday night at Kroger Field.
The Wildcats (3-0) finished off the Zips 35-3 largely due to some big plays from senior Ray Davis in the second half.
Davis finished with 7 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown to go along with 3 catches for 97 yards and a score.
New starting quarterback Devin Leary put up his best numbers yet in a Kentucky uniform. He finished 16-for-25 for 315 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception.
