Kentucky adds some much-needed experience to its backcourt for next season.
Former Creighton guard Davion Mintz announced on social media Friday he's going the Wildcats.
Mintz missed all of last season, redshirting after dealing with ankle injuries in the preseason. During the 2018-19 season as a junior, Mintz averaged 9.7 points, 3.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 28.8 minutes per game. His best performance being a 21-point night going 5-for-8 from the 3-point line in an overtime loss to Marquette.
With Tyrese Maxey and Ashton Hagans already declaring for the NBA Draft and SEC Player of the Year Immanuel Quickley likely following suit, Mintz's commitment adds some veteran experience to what will be a young roster of guards with Devin Askew, BJ Boston and Terrence Clarke.
