Kentucky football's win over NIU shows how crucial star RB Chris Rodriguez's return is

LEXINGTON —The second-team running back sees holes before they develop. He has elite vision and an explosive burst.

And Chris Rodriguez probably won’t be Kentucky football’s second-team running back for long.

But last week the Wildcats’ star still was huddled with the twos, and as the Wildcats prepared for what ended up a 31-23 win against Northern Illinois on Saturday at Kroger Field, they couldn’t help but notice how much the guy who's been sitting out stands out.

“We were like, ‘We got the best two-huddle running back in the country right now,’” quarterback Will Levis said Saturday night.
