LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky football's first game week of the 2018 season is starting with bad news.
Junior left tackle Landon Young, a former five-star recruit and part-time starter last year, will miss the season with a right knee injury, UK confirmed in a news release Saturday. Young suffered the injury in practice Friday.
Young was projected as the Wildcats' No. 1 left tackle. He started six games at that position last season before ceding the starting job to senior Kyle Meadows.
