Kentucky football’s bowl streak officially ends at Texas

Kentucky competed with No. 3 Texas, but the No. 3 Longhorns prevailed 31-14 Saturday afternoon in Austin.

The loss drops Kentucky to 4-7 on the season, officially ending their chances of making a bowl game.

The Wildcats possibly got a glimpse of the future as freshman quarterback Cutter Boley came in for the second half and played well. Boley finished 10-for-18 for 160 yards and one interception.

Starter Brock Vandagriff was 3-for-7 for 51 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception.

Jamarion Wilcox led the Cats on the ground with 11 carries for 56 yards.

Freshman tight end Willie Rodriguez led Kentucky in receiving with 3 catches for 53 yards.
