COLUMBIA, Mo. — Dane Key now holds a Kentucky football freshman record to himself.
Key, a receiver, hauled in a 9-yard pass for a touchdown in the first quarter of Saturday's game at Missouri. It marked his fourth TD catch of the 2022 campaign, setting a single-season program mark. He entered Saturday tied with Derek Abney (2000) and Tommy Cook (2001), who each had three touchdown receptions during their freshman seasons.
Key's score Saturday gave UK a 7-0 lead at the 9:33 mark of the first quarter.
His four TD receptions — Key had one TD in each of the first three weeks — also are a team high; Tayvion Robinson has three, while Jordan Dingle and Barion Brown have two apiece.
