LEXINGTON, Ky. - With Kentucky football’s promising season at risk of falling off the rails, it should be no surprise the Wildcats turned to a senior class who had been through the fires to save it in their last game at Kroger Field.
On the fourth play of the game, UK senior safety Mike Edwards intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown. When Middle Tennessee threatened to tie the game in the fourth quarter, senior outside linebacker Josh Allen recorded a fourth-down sack to break the school's career record and set up a 32-yard field goal from senior kicker Miles Butler to secure the 34-23 win.
