Kentucky football scrimmage marred by 'fairly substantial' injury to Dorian Baker

LEXINGTON, Ky. — A “fairly substantial” ankle injury to senior wide receiver Dorian Baker marred what Kentucky coach Mark Stoops described as an improved second scrimmage of preseason practice.

Stoops declined to provide specific details about Baker’s injury until he learns more from the medical staff, but the prognosis did not sound positive. Kentucky lost projected starting left tackle Cole Mosier to a season-ending ACL injury in the first scrimmage of camp a week ago.

“Part of football is injuries, we’ve got to go,” offensive coordinator Eddie Gran said.
