The NCAA announced penalties against the Kentucky football program this afternoon following a lengthy investigation.
The football program has been placed on two years probation and will be forced to vacate games from the last two seasons due to using ineligible players.
According to the NCAA: “The agreed-upon violations involve at least 11 football student-athletes receiving payment for work not performed between spring 2021 and March 2022. Eight of the student-athletes went on to compete and receive actual and necessary expenses while ineligible.”
There were also issues alleged within the UK swimming program that will be handled in a separate case.
