From 1981 to 1984, Doug Martin played quarterback for the Kentucky Wildcats. He threw for 423 yards and a touchdown during his stint with the Kentucky football program, but that wasn’t the end of his career in the sport.
Martin is now the head coach of the New Mexico State Aggies, which will travel to play Kentucky on Saturday, September 17.
With experience as a member of the Kentucky football program, one could make a case that Martin is biased. He’s also a coach who’s trying to win, however, which means he’d benefit minimally from making the following statement.
