Kentucky football needs to beef up its scheduling efforts because right now it's bad

Toledo, Eastern Michigan and UT Martin.

Those are the nonconference opponents – other than rival Louisville, of course – on this year's University of Kentucky football schedule.

Counting Louisville, those four programs went 18-31 last season.

And while a Nov. 30 home date against the Cards will be a marquee game in Lexington, the rest of UK's nonconference schedule is pretty terrible.

Who's going to want to endure the heat of the season's first two weekends to watch Toledo and Eastern Michigan (which, it should be mentioned, did beat Purdue last year)?
