It’s a new pastime for the Kentucky football cornerback. Already he’s getting competitive about it. It’s in his nature.
“Me, I am a competitive person in everything I do,” Valentine said after No. 9 UK beat Youngstown State 31-0 on Saturday at Kroger Field. “That’s just how I was raised. I’m the youngest of three — four, counting me — and we all play sports, and that's how we were raised. Everything was a competition.”
He showed that fight on the field Saturday, helping the Wildcats (3-0) preserve a shutout with a pair of spectacular plays in the end zone.
