Kentucky football earns second win over Tennessee in 33 years

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky reached bowl eligibility for the second consecutive season with a 29-26 win over Tennessee.

Tennessee missed two field goals in the game and possessed the ball for almost 17 more minutes than Kentucky, but the Wildcats mounted a 10-play, 72-yard drive to score a touchdown with on an 11-yard scramble from quarterback Stephen Johnson with 33 seconds remaining. Kentucky added a two-point conversion on a double-reverse pass out of the "wildcat" formation from Johnson to running back Benny Snell to take a 29-26 lead.
