LEXINGTON – A Kentucky football jersey still hangs on the wall of the office of Liberty Bowl executive director Steve Ehrhart from the Wildcats’ appearance in the game after the 2008 season.
If Ehrhart had his way, Kentucky might be back in Memphis for the 2019 edition of the bowl game later this month to gift him with another.
He is unlikely to have the option though.
“I’ve learned a long time ago this last week (before bowl selection day), just to sit tight and don’t start worrying about things,” Ehrhart said in a phone interview with The Courier Journal Monday.
