LEXINGTON, Ky. – With only a handful of scholarships remaining in its 2019 class, it should come as no surprise which position Kentucky football coaches decided to focus their recruiting attention on in January.

With the staff facing the daunting task of replacing its entire starting secondary, three of the four recruits still on UK’s radar heading into signing day projected to play cornerback in college. Mark Stoops and company landed one of those players — four-star Pennsylvania native M.J. Devonshire — while losing two other four-star cornerback prospects to LSU and South Carolina.
