LEXINGTON, Ky. - The full Kentucky football 2018 signing class will be on campus after all this fall.
Just more than a month after coach Mark Stoops announced outside linebacker signee Ashtan Pierre was unlikely to be cleared by the NCAA in time for the 2018 season, UK announced Tuesday that Pierre had joined the team after missing the first two-plus weeks of preseason practice. The UK fall semester starts Wednesday, allowing Pierre to enroll in classes.
He will practice with the team this fall but will not play in games and will redshirt.
Stoops said at SEC media days an academic issue was preventing Pierre from being cleared.
