Kentucky used a big run in the second half to pull away from Troy and cruise to a 78-57 win Friday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Otega Oweh led the Wildcats (23-12) with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. He is the first UK player to put up those kind of NCAA Tournament numbers since Walter McCarty in 1996.
Andrew Carr, Koby Brea and Brandon Garrison each added 13 points for Kentucky. Amari Williams chipped in 5 points and 13 rebounds. Collin Chandler scored an important 9 points of the bench.
