INDIANAPOLIS — It looked like Kellan Grady had his “One Shining Moment.”
But only for a moment.
In the waning moments of regulation in the Kentucky men’s basketball team’s opening NCAA Tournament game Thursday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the Wildcats’ slumping sharpshooter buried a 3-pointer that gave his second-seeded team a fleeting lead against upstart Saint Peter’s.
But the Peacocks had an answer, forcing overtime and going on to stun the Wildcats 85-79 in the extra session.
And Grady couldn’t muster another moment. It was a common condition among Kentucky’s guards.
