INDIANAPOLIS — Oscar Tshiebwe is back. Albeit in a limited capacity.
Tshiebwe, No. 4 Kentucky men's basketball's star forward and the reigning national player of the year, made his season debut Tuesday against Michigan State at the Champions Classic in Indianapolis.
Tshiebwe did not start; he checked in at the 14:55 mark of the first half.
During a press conference Monday, Kentucky coach John Calipari said if Tshiebwe played versus the Spartans, it likely would be in "three-to-four minute" stretches of the game.
Tuesday marked his long-awaited return to the court after undergoing knee surgery last month.
