USA Today Sports released an updated version of their 2019 top 25 recruiting rankings on Tuesday, and there are definitely some surprises at the top of the board.
Easily the biggest change here is that, for the first time with this class, neither James Wiseman or Vernon Carey are listed as the No. 1 overall recruit. Due to blowing everyone away this spring and early summer, Cole Anthony, son of former NBA star Greg Anthony, has moved into the top spot.
While Anthony does not currently have an offer from John Calipari, he has certainly jumped onto Kentucky’s radar and could be an important target moving forward.
