LEXINGTON - Kentucky basketball has landed its first commitment in the 2021 recruiting class.
Four-star point guard Nolan Hickman committed to Kentucky Saturday. Hickman had not previously reported a UK scholarship offer, but several recruiting analysts had tied him to the Wildcats in recent days.
Hickman, who plays for Wasatch Academy in Utah, confirmed the commitment via his personal Twitter account.
The 247Sports Composite, which averages the ratings of the major recruiting services, ranks Hickman as the No. 51 prospect and No. 7 point guard in the 2021 class. Kansas, Oklahoma and Arizona were among the other contenders for his commitment.
