At this point of the season, it’s clear that this team has some issues. Those flaws, however, shouldn’t prevent the Wildcats from another deep NCAA tournament run. For all the talk of the NIT, the Cats are finally figuring things out.
This team, unlike previous teams under head coach John Calipari, is very backcourt dependent. Since the Louisville game, sophomore point guard Tyler Ulis has returned to his high level, all-SEC caliber play. He’s shooting the ball well and is once again running the team like all of Coach Cal’s great guards. Freshman Jamal Murray has finally found his place.
